Document Controller

Location:  Birmingham

My client is looking for an experienced Document Controller for their HS2 project based in the Birmingham region. You will be working on a road improvement and drainage scheme in Water Orton until June then moving over to the client’s office in Oldbury.

You need to be a competent Document controller, used to HS2 related schemes and ideally Laing/Murphy inducted. You will demonstrate need and understanding of how a Document system works as well as offer advice and opinions to improve the processes.

 

Duties include:-

  • Maintain the document control processes and ensure appropriate storage of soft and hard copy material.
  • Issue and update all main contractor issued drawings including the update of drawing revisions
  • Maintain the Approved for Construction drawing and schedule matrix
  • Work with the Technical leads ensuring that any changes of documentation are incorporated within the overall programme plan.
  • Ensure that site paperwork is being captured correctly and being filtered through to all those necessary

Experience Required

  • HS2 scheme experience as a Document Controller
  • Experience with inspection & test plans (ITP)
  • Experience of ERS related vendor payments and invoicing.
  • A hight level of understanding of document control systems
  • A solid knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • System improvement experience.
